In an effort to make sure I take the time to notice the little things that make me happy every day I've decided to start doing a TILT a la the gorgeous Gala Darling. So I present to you, my very first Things I Love Thursday or as I shall call them - TILT-a-whirl days.
Gala Darling - Never have I felt such a kindred spirit in the internet world. I love everything she represents. I have listened to her podcasts repeatedly and throughout the years that I've followed her I have learned to create a life that I love. She inspires me daily and I have quite a bit of a girl crush on her. I mean how can I not love a gal who chooses a hot pink cheetah print heel as her namesake shoe. Seriously.
So Gala, this first TILT-a-whirl day is dedicated to you and all of the things I adore about you!
Love & Sequins - Gala's podcast changed my life. I know that sounds a tad dramatic but I listen to them when I have bad days, good days, or even just on my way to work. It's like listening to an old friend give you fun and sparkly advice. Adore them.
She makes things happen - Everyone I choose to know adores Betsey Johnson. But only one gal I know decided to make her a real part of her life. That's just how she operates. If she wants something she makes it happen. She designs her own life. "NO" just doesn't seem to be an option and I love it!
Lists - Gala is a listmaker just like me. Except rather than lists that consist of toilet paper, milk, and hairspray (woah what a weird list that is), she makes lists like 100 Things to Do When You're Upset, Things I Love Thursday, 50 Things to do before summer ends, and 33 Movies to Watch when you're sad, glum or bummed out.
Creative Style - Her style directions speak to me and make me laugh. i love and adore them! I took a cue from her 2010 direction, Psychedilic Ladies who lunch and came up with my own direction for 2011. What I like to call Mod Glitterbomb Easter Bunny from Space.
Her Blog - I devour it daily. It's one of my most favorite things in my RSS reader. I always save it to read last because once I read it, it's gone, and that makes me sad. :)
